PROGRAM
Where is contemporary music heading? Who is coming up and where is the journey going? These questions are not only of concern to PHACE. Therefore, the ensemble, together with Ö1 and AspekteSALZBURG, started looking for young composers and new talents in order to take a look ahead to the future. At a CALL FOR SCORES in summer 2021, four excellent young composers from four different Austrian music universities were selected from many good submissions. With the assignment to write a new work for PHACE and to perform it in close cooperation with the ensemble, the four winners have now composed very exciting and sometimes surprising pieces. Which tonal worlds Soyeon Park, Carlos Gonzalez Bolanos, Giorgio Musolesi and Hristina Šušak created, how they give the music their own touch and develop their musical language can be heard at the concert on March 8th at the ORF RadioKulturhaus and can be experienced a little later at the AspectsFESTIVAL in Salzburg.
